About CENFi
The yield2Yield Center for Biblical Financial Wisdom (CENFi), powered by the Ron Blue Institute, is a student led initiative at Union University. Rooted in the truth that God owns it all (Psalm 24:1), CENFi helps students cultivate biblically wise financial habits that lead to a flourishing life. Since everything belongs to God, we are His stewards charged with managing the resources He has entrusted to us according to His priorities.
Lead by student coaches, CENFi provides peer-to-peer coaching with the goal of helping you succeed financially without failing spiritually.

Living intentionally requires having a plan – a basis upon which to act – to make decisions to reach a desired outcome. “The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
To live intentionally is to live with purpose on purpose. Intention is training, not trying. Intentional people have accountability and wise counsel.
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage” (Proverbs 21:5).

True generosity doesn’t come from our wealth, but from our contentment.
We believe God doesn’t put a need in front of us that He doesn’t resource us to meet. We know that He richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. So how do we enjoy our riches? By choosing to do good, being rich in good works, and being generous and ready to share. Which means we must not consume everything for ourselves or bury our riches because we are fearful. Generosity glorifies God, builds our community, and stores up our treasure for the future while providing us joy now (1 Timothy 6:17-19).
“The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller. The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped.” Proverbs 11:24-45

“There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise but a foolish man swallows it up” (Proverbs 21:20).
Through our investing practices, we must seek to express the priority of true Christian love, which is love for God and love for neighbor. This priority will inform and coexist with financial returns. Financial returns are relativized as one of many objectives for investing. The result of investing, when done in the context of God’s Kingdom, will seek to increase benefit to the investor, contribute to the community, meet the needs of the most vulnerable, and make prudent use of God’s creation.
